In Ad Hoc topolopy, Devices communicate directly without using access point.It used for small number of wireless devices.

What is the different between ad hoc topology and infrastructure topology?

Ad Hoc topology does not use an AP . All wireless devices connect directly to each other.while , In the infrastructure wireless topology , devices use APs to connect each other.
