USA Basketball is a long and storied organization that has been around since the early 20th century. It has grown to become one of the most successful basketball organizations in history, boasting some of the greatest players ever to have graced a court. The USA men’s national team first began competing internationally in 1936 with an appearance at the Berlin Olympics where they won gold for their country. Since then they have gone on to win numerous Olympic medals as well as several World Championship titles including six consecutive wins from 1994-2006 under coach Mike Krzyzewski who led them through three Olympic gold medal victories during this time period as well. The women’s program also had success winning seven consecutive international competitions between 1996-2012 which included four straight Olympic Gold Medals from 1996-2008 under legendary coach Geno Auriemma who now coaches UConn Women's Basketball Team among other accolades such as two FIBA world championships in 2014 & 2018 respectively
Today, USA Basketball continues its legacy with top tier talent both domestically and abroad playing for various clubs across America ranging from college teams like Duke University or Michigan State all way up professional leagues such NBA or WNBA which pay out salaries starting at $500K per year depending on experience level . With so much star power amongst its ranks it isn't surprising why many consider USAB one of if not best basketball programs ever created
